November Ponderings – Health

I may have mentioned that I am a sci-fi geek. I especially love Doctor Who, and have done so for my entire life.

It isn’t my birthday for another ten days yet, but I’ve spent most of this month in bed and so Tribble decided that I needed cheering up.

Actually, this entire year has been pretty miserable in terms of health. I spent much of it being made horribly unwell by my own weight whilst taking one epilepsy medication, only to be placed on a different drug which stopped me from being able to eat when the weight gain became more than I could handle. I’ve had oral surgery, some nasty seizures, lots of unpleasant bugs and my asthma returned full throttle.

Doctor Who, along with various other favourite shows, has kept me sane on a very unpleasant ride this year.

I’m hoping to improve my health in 2012. Now that I’m eating better again I would like to start doing the yoga program on my Wii Fit. I’d like to start swimming again. This year I could barely move, much less do anything useful in the garden.

I honestly hope that 2012 will be the year of a fitter, healthier, happier me.
