The Christmas Adventure Begins Here

For us it does, anyway; Tribble Towers has a lot to do.

Tomorrow we are travelling to my hometown of Cheltenham for a weekend:

This is part of the town centre. It is a really beautiful place, but I don’t miss living there.

We shall be staying here:

This is Hope Orchard, the guest house that we stay at every time we visit my home town. The couple who run the place are smashing, the dining room, breakfasts and en-suite rooms are as beautiful as these pictures show and there are two lovely cats who adore snuggles and an adorable Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves nothing more than to meet people.

We’ll be meeting up with my son tomorrow evening.

Packing needs to be done, gifts need to be wrapped… and I am currently waiting for my next batch of Piccalilli to cool so that I can add the vegetables and fill the jars. I didn’t expect the demand for this stuff that I’m getting!

Perhaps most things can wait till morning, because I just want to get the Piccalilli finished and sleep for twelve hours. I suspect that I’ve been overdoing it for a few days, since I’ve been feeling quite unwell, and I’m tired and my back is murdering me. At least tomorrow I can read my Kindle or sleep in the car.

I’ll be taking my camera and making sure that I have the fullest weekend possible. What’s everybody else up to?
