Yesterday we were busy. It has to have been a year since I was last in town for any real length of time, and it was good to have a change of scenery. In all of the
stress excitement concerning the wedding and finding/ordering my wedding ring however, we both completely failed to remember to pop into Wilco’s for the Kilner jars and rubber seals I need to do my pickling! Dom says it would have been too far for me to walk anyway, but I need to achieve it eventually; my piccalilli and confiturra are both in huge demand from family. I tried the piccalilli today myself and I’ve never liked it before – not from the shops. It’s crunchy and jammed to the brim with veg, and the sauce is smooth, glossy, sweet and spicy. Gorgeous!
After yesterday’s activity we’ve both taken it extremely easy today – and yet I haven’t been idle. A couple of days ago I jumped on the scales to find myself at my normal weight (wonderful, after taking Lyrica for my epilepsy made me so large and cost me thousands in clothing and the enlargement of my engagement ring) and yesterday I actually came downstairs and did some tidying (of sorts – we were looking for something).
The tidying might sound easy, but it really isn’t. I’ve been unable to crouch or kneel for a long time – I couldn’t even pull weeds in the garden over the summer – and so it’s very difficult. I might be able to get down into that position, but it’s a real struggle to get up again and Dom usually has to help me. I do seem to be improving though, in spite of having to get myself through a pain barrier. Better to have the pain than to allow my muscles to continue to weaken and atrophy!
I do believe that my Wii Fit shall be becoming reaquainted with me very soon. I feel up to it now, and I would really like to try the yoga program along with all the other amazingly fun things I have on Wii Fit that I already love.
I now have my entire wedding outfit (other than underwear/nightwear) ordered – including shoes – and we measured my bust to discover that it is now a manageable and affordable size! I’ve ordered two gorgeous bras from Figleaves, and if they fit as well as the right fit from that site usually does then I shall be getting my wedding underwear from there too!
My stomach is also becoming flatter as I eat more food. I am beating the Monster, and I am really beginning to love my increased appetite and the way my body looks now.
For the first time in a long time, I feel gorgeous. I have Tribble to thank for that.
