It was such a magical day yesterday. I’m still too tired to really talk details, but here are some pictures!

Liz wanted to put the traffic cone on her head!

Signing on the dotted line!

Our first kiss as man and wife

Getting coverred in confetti – most of it landed in my cleavage!

Cakes!

Band of gold
As well as having a wonderful wedding, our guests donated £90 to Epilepsy Action!
I felt beautiful, and my new husband treated me like a princess. He always does, but yesterday was special.
Also, in honour of my love for the Doctor, one friend wore a bowtie and another drew a fez in the guest book that D’s best friend had given us!

We’re printing out and framing the picture of our first married kiss.

Lovely! Congratulations!
PS: Bowties are cool!
So are stetsons
Thank you!
A big cheer for the happy couple. May you be blessed with boundless happiness for the rest of your journey together.
Thank you so much!
God bless you both you look so happy and in love. I wish you both all you wish yourselves

Thanks Willow; I’m sure that we shall make the most of our life together

Aw congratulations! This is my first visit to your blog, and what a happy post to read first.
Thank you for stopping by, and for the compliments!
I see that you’re new to WordPress, so have followed you so that you know somebody’s reading
Congratulations to you both, you look beautiful (gorgeous dress!) and I’m glad you had the day of your dreams
Awww thanks, we had a lovely day. Everybody complimented my dress (everyone expects white don’t they?) and I think I made the perfect choice in outfit, bridesmaid and husband!
Absolutely beautiful. Congratulations, and may every day forward be as joyous as this one. I am really happy for you.
Thanks so much Maggie
LOVELY PHOTOS! Congratulations. I’m glad it went so well, and it all looks beautiful, especially the bride. I also love the photo of the beautiful gold band!
Thanks Naomi! The ring is yellow with a white gold centre – a perfect match for my engagement ring
I love your dress and your hair is smashing!! What lovely photos… what a beautiful event! I’m so happy for you!
Thank you so much Lori!
People are always asking me if that’s my natural hair colour. It is
Congratulations! Loving the red dress. Now to enjoy your marriage
Haha, we’re both spending most of our time sleeping at the moment but we’ll make up for it eventually, I’m sure!
It had to be red; nothing else would do!
I wore red shoes on my wedding day, I was so proud of them that, after walking down the aisle to our civil ceremony, the moment we sat down I lifted my dress, put one of my feet up, pointed at them and excitedly told my husband: “Look!”
Congratulations to you both. Your photos are lovely and your dress is gorgeous.
Thanks Deb! Red is such a joyful colour and, because it’s Beltane, was also very appropriate
I originally bought a purple frock for my wedding but was persuaded to wear something ‘more traditional’ – so I’m really impressed with your gorgeous red outfit.
You look really beautiful and I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your special day.
Thanks Ruth – it was a wonderful day!
Nobody tried to tell me what to wear; I am very much my late grandmother’s granddaughter and people know better than to even try
You’ve inspired me to do a post about my own wedding in 1999 – I’ve included a picture of the purple dress.
I can’t wait to see it!
It looks like you had a magical day. Congratulations!!
Thank you; it was perfect and everything we hoped it would be
And a hearty congratulations to you and your new husband, Missus Tribble! May you both enjoy the many blisses of marriage and togetherness! And yeah, stetsons ARE cool–my dad used to wear em! :-]
Haha, I’m sure I used to own a stetson – I would probably have won it on a rifle range or some such.
I am a woman of many hats; The Doctor would probably try to steal them (I also have a fez)
I mainly own baseball caps, but what I have, I don my to you! ;-]
Hats rule!
Lovely – love the matching cakes too! x
My sister-in-law got married in secret and my brother-in-law is happy living with his partner, so my mother-in-law has never organised a wedding reception before and jumped in with both feet – she loves making nice parties for people! As you can see, she totally excelled herself (although even *I* had to put my foot down when she suggested a TARDIS cake!)
Looks like she had fun with it! A TARDIS cake would have been memorable, but those cupcakes look yummy! x
I may allow a TARDIS cake for my 40th next year…
