Born and raised in Gloucestershire, I’m an adopted Essex girl; a blogger, writer, sci-fi freak, cross-stitcher, cook, reader and nature lover. I am also an active member of Epilepsy Action and recently became a Media Volunteer for them.
I have epilepsy and am autistic; these are both subjects that I cover in my writing. I do my best to remain upbeat though, and I always manage to find the funny side of a situation.
I’m a collector of all things fandom. I have Doctor Who, Being Human, Misfits, Leverage, Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes on DVD, and I collect plush Tribbles and Doctor Who figurines. I also own two sonic screwdrivers, a sonic pen, a plush Adipose and a purring plush Rex from Primeval. I also have a love of aeroplanes, and I own a genuine Concorde turbine blade.
I have a profoundly autistic teenage son (who cannot live with me due to my own disabilities) and I am a strong voice for advocacy of Autism Understanding and Epilepsy Awareness.
I love meeting new people and sharing their adventures, as well as sharing my own escapades.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, commenting and following! I’m now following yours, too!
Thank you! I’m looking forward to getting to know you! I’m trying to get myself back in shape after a year of enforced inactivity and it’s nice to know that I shan’t be alone
I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Check it out at http://goss-coaching.com/2011/12/12/its-a-very-important-award/
Thanks for dropping by my blog and following!! I just want to ask… where do you get your Doctor Who merchandise? I used to collect those trading cards you get from the magazines and store them in a Tardis case, but I misplaced the entire things somewhere >_< At the very least I want to have a sonic pen… or a fez. I'm not picky, lol.
I get a lot of my merchandise (mostly the action figures) from Amazon, but for my birthday last month my husband went to the local comic shop and got me the box set of all eleven Lego Doctors! I also have a pint TARDIS mug, complete with lid, lots of the DVDs, remote controlled battling Daleks, some of the Doctor Who Adventure magazines (which is where the fez came from) and even a TARDIS tree topper!
Also, I have a movement-activated light and sound TARDIS. What we did was to lie it on its side “Eleventh Hour” style, I have my Raggedy Doctor figure peering out of it and my husband made him a little grappling hook to hold. Everybody loves that detail!
I’m a diehard fan of Tom Baker, but also love Pertwee and Troughton. As far as “Nu Who” goes, I’m insane for Eccleston and Matt!
Thank you for following my blog…Time is of the essence at present..but I am now following your blog and will be back…I have much to read I see. Aox
Hi Ms Trib, you’ve already got this once but hey, you can never get too much praise right?!?, it’s the versatile blogger award (again!)

Hi! Just a quick note to let you know I have nominated you for the Blog on Fire Award. Congratulations, and hope you’re feeling better soon!
Kasia.
I didn’t know anyone else who keeps plush tribbles!
I love my plush Tribbles! Do you have any?
Actually, I do! We have sci-fi parties and leave them on the chairs for the guests to sit on!
That… is brilliant! I have six that an Etsy friend made for me (three adults and three babies) and an official purring one that my Hubby bought me for Christmas. I love them to death
Purring is nice. Ours squeak!
Mine has an internal switch so that I can change it from purring to agitated!
Tribbles are awesome – and so is anybody who loves them, which is why I am now following you
nice blog
Thank you

Missus Tribble, I love what you’re doing! I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award: http://fpdorchak.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/spreading-the-love-a-liebster-blog-award/!
Hi,
I saw a comment you left at Fiona’s blog and it made me want to check out your blog. Though I don’t share your love for Sci fi, I also love nature and cooking and pickling and don’t worry too much about dressing up….nature girl, garden student and kitchen witch…It’ll be interesting seeing what you write about here. I have some info on the dietary angle and autism if you are interested.
Hi, it’s lovely to meet you! We seem to have a lot in common, so I’ll be adding your blog and looking forward to getting to know you

Hi Gemma! Sorry I’ve not been by for a while – I’ve been tied up with my little guy (who is also called Rhys). I hope your Rhys is receiving the help he needs, and that a fresh look at his condition will improve things for you all. It must be terribly hard.
Actually, on that subject, I was wondering if you might be interested in contributing to an anthology about motherhood I’m putting together? If so, please shoot me an email at kasia_oz (at) hotmail (dot) com, and we can chat further.
Thanks!
Kasia.
Hi! Yes, I had been wondering where you were – I’ve missed you! I hope that you and your Rhys are well! Beautiful name isn’t it? It’s Welsh for “Leader” and is also commonly interpreted to mean “Strong One”.
I shall certainly email you, but I’m not really sure what I can contribute!
Gemma xx
